Nueva Andalucia is an attractive area just west of Marbella where, as its name suggests, the villas and apartments are based on traditional Andalusian architecture and design. The bullring (close to Puerto Banus) and on the right marks the entrance to Nueva Andalucia, while the road climbs towards the mountains affording magnificent views of the coast. On a clear day, you can even see North Africa off in the distance. Sports enthusiasts can find plenty on offer here with tennis, paddle tennis and a gymnasium.

For golfers in particular, the area could not be more ideal. There are several magnificent courses within virtual putting distance, including Las Brisas, Los Naranjos, Aloha Golf, La Quinta and La Dama de Noche, which is floodlit for night time play. All the Nueva Andalucia golf courses are surrounded by stunning scenery with a backdrop of mountains. These and other nearby golf courses are accessible within minutes. Nueva Andalucia is often referred to as the ‘golf valley’ on the coast – and rightly so. There are plenty of courses from which to choose and some of the best include Las Brisas, Aloha and Los Naranjos, all within a five-minute drive from Villa Los Pulus

Nueva Andalucía is also fast becoming known for its international cuisine which ranges from a down home American deli to the ultimate in cordon bleu. It also boasts one of the most popular commercial centres in the area, Centro Plaza comprising quality shops, restaurants, bars and offices, as well as a supermarket, gymnasium and beauty parlour. In other words, this thriving commercial center has everything that the consumer might want - from taking care of the weekly shop, to buying unusual and exquisite gifts, including carpets, antiques, luxury toiletries and, not surprisingly perhaps, everything you may need for the golfer in the family. There is also an excellent street market ("rastro") held next to the bullring here every Saturday morning.

Aside from recreational, sport and commercial facilities, Nueva Andalucía has several schools, including the international Aloha College. It is also home to one the Costa del Sol's just two casinos, which boasts a vast gaming room as well as various other facilities.

For both residents and visitors, Nueva Andalucía is ideally situated, just a few minutes drive from the glitz and glamour of Marbella and Puerto Banus, yet close to the natural beauty of the Sierra de Ronda mountain range and San Pedro Alacantara, a refreshingly unspoiled pueblo with an appeal all of its own.

Nueva Andalucia boasts a wide array of nightlife, with Marbella and nearby Puerto Banús playing host to the most exclusive venues. There are everything to enjoy and party time begins around 10 PM. Discos, restaurants and bars with shows and live music, cinema complex, you will often spot the rich and famous here.

Villa Los Pulus is located only a few minutes drive from Puerto Banus with its impressive yachts, which people drive from all corners of the coast just to see. Puerto Banus also offers shops, cafés and restaurants, excellent beaches. A taxi service is available locally and normally costs about 5 euros for a trip to Puerto Banus from the Villa Los Pulus. And if that’s not enough, you are only a 10-minute drive from downtown Marbella, the Jewel of The Coast.

For shopping, there are Mercadona and Opencor Supermarkets and also SuperSol at Centro Plaza Commercial Centre, near the bullring, on the way down towards Puerto Banus. This commercial center also has several shops, banks and many other businesses. Two of the restaurants are Starz and Yanks, both American influenced serving generous portions. Starz, in the courtyard, is particularly recommended for its excellent breakfast menu. There is also an Indian Food Bar which serves freshly prepared delicacies for al fresco dining on the terrace whilst enjoying fabulous views of Puerto Banus and the Mediterranean Sea.

The popular Nueva Andalucia street market takes place in the parking area beneath the Centro Plaza and along the road towards Puerto Banus and always attracts large crowds on Saturdays. Avoid this road until 3 PM on Saturdays unless you want to visit the market.

For entertainment, the Casino in the Andalucia Plaza Hotel is only a short distance away down towards the N-340 motorway. And, as far as nightlife is concerned, there can’t be a place better suited than the ritzy Puerto Banus.

There is a bus service which follows a circular route between Marbella, Puerto Banus, La Campana and San Pedro. The bus station at nearby San Pedro has easy access to other coastal towns and, from Marbella, there is a direct line to Malaga Airport which is only 45 minutes away.
