The Surroundings

Puerto Banus :

Between Marbella Town and Estepona lies Puerto Banus.

Renowned as a holiday resort and home to the rich and famous, Puerto Banus offers one of the best year round climates in Europe, is home to some of the finest shops and restaurants in Spain, has a large yacht marina and offers you beaches with views towards Africa and Gibraltar.

Until 10 years ago Puerto Banus was so exclusive only a few people had actually heard of it, but in recent years "The Port" has grown and what once consisted of just 2 roads and a marina has now developed into an International Resort.

Puerto Banus has two distinct personalities, Daytime & Nighttime.

Daytime: its a beautiful, Mediterranean Port with endless outdoor coffee shops and restaurants catering for every taste and culture, not to mention a shoppers paradise. Between 8pm and Midnight, is particularly pleasant strolling around the shops and eating Al Fresco.

Nighttime: or after Midnight to be more precise, the Port turns into a Party Town with the bars open until 4 am every night and music and clubs to suit all ages and tastes going on till 9 am in some cases. Even the designer shops stay open into the early hours.

The summer is obviously much, much busier than the winter. From November through to March the main nightlife takes place from Thursday till Saturday. Although most restaurants are open throughout the week.

The Shopping

With the large five storey El Corte Ingles department store which is similar to say Selfridges and caters for every shoppers need, Marina Banus indoor shopping center and a host of International brand shops such as Calvin Klien, Zara, Mango, Max Mara, Dolce & Gabbana, Luis Vuitton, Hugo Boss, Puma, Karen Millen, Hermes, Loewe and Christian Dior.

The shops are spread actually on the sea front in the Port (Calle Ribero) and back towards the main road (N340) where you can see El Corte Ingles marked on the Map.

Markets

One of the largest Markets on the Costa Del Sol, The street market in Puerto Banus is held at the Bull Ring on a Saturday Morning and finishes at 2pm.

Location

Jump into your Hire car, Follow our driving directions (sent to renters who book Villa Los Pulus) from Malaga Airport or book your own private Puerto Banus Airport Taxi Transfers and you will be in Puerto Banus within 45 minutes of leaving the Airport. The journey is around 55 kms.

Puerto Banus is also within 10 minutes of Marbella City with the fantastic La Canada shopping center, 20 minutes of Estepona and 40 minutes from Gibraltar.
